Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the staff at the front desk were doing their best to assist visitors from all over the world, the accommodation seemed overpriced for its quality. I also had to wait longer than expected for breakfast. The hotel appears a bit worn out and basic.
I found the hotel to be a bit overpriced for what it offered, but it was very clean and the bed was comfy. The room was spacious with a view of the cathedral towers, and I appreciated the extra amenities like tea, coffee, biscuits, and an iron with an ironing board.
The Coach House offers clean and comfortable rooms but faces the car park, which may not suit everyone. The service is efficient and friendly. The location is superb, especially for visiting Ely Cathedral. The dining experience is of good quality, though breakfast may take longer. However, the hotel area looks tired and in need of refurbishment.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of pleasant and disappointing experiences. The location was great, being centrally situated near the Cathedral and within walking distance of many attractions, but the room lacked air conditioning leading to noise disturbances at night. The service was friendly and responsive, addressing issues promptly. The dining options, although offering a good selection, were not exceptional. Despite some drawbacks, the hotel's central location and service make it a decent choice for a stay.
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city, making it perfect for exploring Ely and its magnificent cathedral. While the rooms were clean and had a good temperature, there were some issues like a noisy environment that affected our sleep quality. The service, however, was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to assist us, even providing tips for free parking. The dining experience was delightful, offering a diverse menu, although there were some setbacks like missing items. Overall, a good value for the central location and quality service.
